Hawaiian Woman Vanishes From LAX: Hannah Kobayashi Breaks Her Silence
Hannah Kobayashi has made her first public statement since her puzzling situation. disappearance from Los Angeles Airport the previous year — something that garnered international attention reaching a sad conclusion suicide of her father , Ryan Kobayashi, throughout the hunt for her.
Hannah Kobayashi, who is 30 years old, talked about "loss, pain, and suffering" in a recent Instagram Story that has since been removed, as reported. SFGate and a video posted by the Daily Mail .
In the clip, the Maui photographer thanked "each and every individual who devoted their time and effort into searching for me" amidst the widespread 2024 hunt.
Kobayashi went on without mentioning her departed father directly, "Each day is truly precious, particularly following such grief and hardship. It’s important for us all to strive to show kindness towards each other."
Kobayashi reportedly told SFGate On Monday, she intends to share additional details regarding her disappearance at a later time.
"Considering where I stand after everything I've been through, I get why certain folks might see me in an unfavorable way. Still, I'm clear about who I am and what really happened. There'll be a time when I lay it all out for everyone," she stated.
"I truly think that we can all make an effort to treat each other more kindly because we never genuinely understand what somebody else has experienced until we've literally walked in their shoes," Kobayashi noted.

On November 8, 2024, Kobayashi failed to catch her connecting flight from LAX to New York, as she planned to attend a concert and see a relative. Later, surveillance video spotted her at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles, which led her family to worry that an incident might have occurred.
Mysterious messages to her family members also alarmed them, including one that said, "I was basically duped into handing over all my money. By someone I believed I loved."
Kobayashi subsequently boarded a bus headed for Mexico and proceeded to cross the border on foot, which led the authorities to conclude their pursuit by deeming her a "person who chose to be missing."
Her father, Ryan, called the situation “every parent’s nightmare” before dying by suicide near LAX amid the search.
Kobayashi was found in Mexico on December 11, 2024, and returned to the US four days later. Without much of an explanation on her disappearance, Kobayashi told NBC News that she was not aware of the attention from the media And now concentrating on her recovery, serenity, and creativeness.
On May 4, Kobayashi posted her first Instagram update since vanishing, sharing a monochrome picture of trees. In response to a comment asking why she didn’t go to her father’s funeral, she replied, “You don’t have all the details.”
