Trump Bids Farewell to Mega Middle East Deal, Rushes Home for Granddaughter's Arrival

President Donald Trump declared a final $1 trillion agreement on his last day of the Middle Eastern visit and mentioned he was heading back home to meet his newborn grandson.

Donald Trump’s daughter Tiffany welcomed a newborn son named Alexander Trump Boulos on Thursday. This marks her first child and becomes President Trump's eleventh grandchild.

'I've had an incredible time here. But now it’s time for me to return home. My daughter just welcomed a new baby into the world, and I can’t wait to go back and meet my grandchild,’ Trump stated during a business roundtable in Abu Dhabi.

I likely should've departed yesterday," he admitted. "However, I didn’t want to let you down," he said to Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. "Your dad would’ve been terribly displeased with me, and you’d be even more disappointed.

Following Trump’s confirmation, it was clear he wouldn’t be heading to Turkey for discussions about a Russia-Ukraine peace agreement. Initially, the president had hinted at the potential for an impromptu visit, yet Russian President VladimirPutin remained attentive to further developments. Putin chose not to travel to Istanbul for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Zelensky .

'My daughter had a baby. I'm going to go back home and see that little baby, and then we get back to a lot of work. We'll see what happens with Russia and Ukraine,' Trump said.

He mentioned he would meet with Putin 'once we arrange it. I planned to leave and visit, I really look forward to seeing my handsome grandson.'

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is in Turkey but will not participate in the discussions, stating that the United States does not have 'high hopes' for reaching an agreement.

Trump stated on Thursday that he does not anticipate a deal being reached until he has an opportunity to meet with Putin.

Meanwhile, the president along with the UAE leadership declared a $1.4 trillion investment commitment. This encompasses Etihad Airways' intentions from the UAE to buy numerous American-built Boeing planes equipped with GE engines.

Trump even had kind words for Boeing - a marked change from his recent criticism about its delay in delivering two 747s to serve as the new Air Force Ones.

'It's just my opinion but Boeing makes the best planes. They've had some headaches over the last few years, but they make the best planes,' he said.

But his own issues with the aerospace giant remained on his mind.

"I am departing and boarding a 42-year-old Boeing," he mentioned regarding the present Air Force One. The controversy surrounding Trump’s plan to accept a $400 million luxury aircraft from the Qatari Royal Family, intended for use as an Air Force One during his visit, continues to be one of the contentious points of discussion.

However, during his four-day trip to the Middle East, Trump managed to secure an impressive array of deals.

These encompass a $200 billion contract with Qatar Airways for Boeing aircraft and a $600 billion investment from Saudi Arabia — including approximately $142 billion allocated for armaments, which the White House characterized as the biggest arms agreement ever made.

Trump said it was important that Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates be the stops in the first major foreign trip of his second term.

‘Arriving in Saudi Arabia, Qatar held great significance for me due to the personal connections I’d formed, perhaps even more so than professional ties. It’s been an incredible journey,’ he stated. ‘And we’re building quite a following.’

People have mentioned that they haven't witnessed such events in the past four days when it comes to investments," he continued, "especially regarding the substantial amount of funds returning to the United States. While talking about money is good, what truly matters are the job opportunities this brings. The employment rate has reached a point where replicating these conditions will be nearly impossible for anyone.

Along with the substantial financial investments, Trump also had discussions with Syria’s leader and extended an offer. fresh hope for an agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

No progress was made regarding the Gaza conflict, however, Trump proposed transforming the region into a 'free zone.'
